THE KAHIKI 3 AND ME (2025) - A successful Philadelphia attorney, who survived homelessness as a child, investigates the circumstances of her parents' severe decline after a brutal attack by the Columbus Police.
On the harrowing night of May 30, 1975, in Columbus, OH, two Black couples and a nine-month-old baby attended dinner at the infamous restaurant Kahiki Supper Club. A bill dispute with a white manager ensued, and dozens of police were called to the scene, where violence erupted.
The altercation shook the black community of Columbus initiating a major call to action against police brutality and a push for policy reform.
The Kahiki incident left both physical and emotional scars on an entire generation of family and community. There remain 2 survivors who have never spoken about that night until now. This is their story.

AMBER MONET, DIRECTOR
Amber Monet, born in Los Angeles, is the founder of Daphne Pictures with over 9 years of filmmaking and production experience. She directed and edited a documentary on the life of the renowned gospel icon, "The Legendary Marion Williams," which is currently available on Amazon Prime.

NIKKI JOHNSON-ALFANO, ESQ, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER | WITNESS
Nikki Johnson-Alfano, Esq., is the founder of The Law Office of Nikki Johnson-Huston LLC and the 2021-2022 Ms. Universe. She is a prominent media commentator and motivational speaker who overcame homelessness after moving in with her grandmother in Philadelphia. She was awarded several accolades including the Philadelphia Business Journal Minority Business Leader Award.

SAFIYA SONGHAI, PRODUCER
Safiya Songhai is an American film director, Emmy Award-winning producer, and broadcast journalist. The Philadelphia native trained with Oscar award-winning director Spike Lee and highly acclaimed playwright Ntozake Shange, “Sankofa” director Haile Gerima. She directed the
award-winning film, “Interception: Jayne Kennedy - American Sportscaster”.
